Savory Buttermilk Biscuits with Rosemary Olive Oil


3 cups all purpose flour

4 teaspoons baking powder

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 stick chilled unsalted butter, cut into 1/4 inch pieces

1 cup buttermilk + 1/4 cup Rosemary Olive Oil


Preheat oven to 350F

Add all dry ingredients together in a food processor and pulse. Add the chilled butter and pulse a few times. Add the buttermilk mixed with Rosemary olive oil to the dry ingredients. Pulse a few more times until the dough is moist and loose.

Roll out dough to a 1" thickness and cut out biscuits to a 2" diameter. Brush with leftover buttermilk as you place biscuits on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes until biscuits are golden and fluffy looking.
