Olive Oil Flatbread
Too easy to make, and very versatile! Choose any sea salt that you have on hand, and pick any of our Extra Virgin Olive Oils.
-2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
-1/2 teaspoon salt, plus more for sprinkling
-1/2 cup Liquid Gold EVOO/Infused Olive Oil of your choice
-1/2 cup water
-Preheat oven to 500 degrees F.
-Combine flour & salt in a food processor.
-In a small bowl, combine olive oil & water, whisking them together.
-While running the food processor, add olive oil & water mixture to the flour mixture slowly.
-Pulse all together until the ingredients combine to a firm dough ball.
-Remove the dough & knead slightly into a ball. Cut the ball into smaller pieces & Roll each piece of dough out on a floured surface into a very thin - almost translucent - circle.
-Place thin circles on an ungreased cookie sheet & sprinkle with sea salt. Bake each circle for approximately 4-5 minutes on one side - flip - and keep a close eye on the oven (do NOT walk away) they cook very quickly. Once the edges are slightly browned, remove from the oven & allow to completely cool.
*Enjoy with hummus, goat cheese, or any type of dip!
